About the role

A rapidly growing eCommerce company based in N17, London; is looking to hire their first Warehouse Operations Manager on a permanent full-time basis starting ASAP. The business was founded in 2013, producing their product from start to finish in the UK and solely advertising online through their own website / social media and 3rd party suppliers like Amazon. Due to high customer demands, the business has grown substantially and now seeking an experienced Operations professional to lead and manage all process improvement, production and resource management of the company.

This is a brand-new role and will report into the CEO of the organisation.

What you will be doing

  • Oversight and management of all Warehouse Operations on site and within the Warehouse Management System
  • Oversee and be responsible for deliveries on site, ensuring they are accurately recorded into the Warehouse Management System
  • Oversee collection and movement of stock around the production like and on the Warehouse Management System to ensure accurate stock levels for upcoming orders and busy periods
  • Maintain the Warehouse Management System to achieve good services levels and fast internal movement of raw materials and stock
  • Investigate and resolution of all operational issues as they arise
  • Day to day management, leadership, and motivation of team members
  • Performance Management, Recruitment, and mentorship of staff
  • Report to Directors on a regular basis
  • Work alongside production team to create a great place to work
  • Responsible for Health and Safety within the warehouse, ensuring all staff are trained well, provided with the right equipment and tools and comply with all Health and Safety, Company Policies and Procedures
  • Effectively communicate operational plans and priorities to colleagues

Background, skills & experience we are looking for

  • Experience in managing and leading operations within a fast-paced production environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and ability to pick up new technologies quickly
  • Ability to promote best practice processes within a warehouse environment
  • Skilled in developing and mentoring a diverse workforce
  • Experience in communicating and interacting with all levels of the business confidently, personally and professionally
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to manage multiple workloads under tight deadlines and pressures
  • Proven problem-solving ability
