ABOUT THIS ROLE

We’re working with a rapidly scaling technology-led business who are looking for an ambitious commercial lead to take a key role in driving customer acquisition. The successful candidate will need to contribute to and help realise the go-to-market strategy that will bring an industry-proven solution to the attention of the world’s leading insurers. Attitude, ambition and ingenuity are expected and preferred over specific sales experience. A passion for technology and a strong understanding of the insurance markets will be needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading the growth of our company in our primary target industry
  •  Contributing to the definition and execution of the Insurance go-to-market strategy
  • Taking a proactive and positive attitude to sales and marketing, working towards a sector sales target
  • Developing tactical and strategic lead generation channels
  • Helping to develop effective and engaging sales material, demos, and marketing content
  • Developing our pipeline process to provide KPIs for each stage
  • Negotiating commercial deals and working with delivery teams to ensure client success
  • Contributing to product management strategies

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Good understanding of the Insurance sector, including the mechanics of insurance operations and commercial processes in key areas such as Underwriting, Actuarial, London Market, Life Insurance and B2B Insurance
  • Familiarity with current themes including Robotic Process Automation, API-led Open Market initiatives and modern practices for software management and delivery
  • A Minimum of 3 years’ commercial experience, ideally gained alongside a business-to-business software vendor or consultancy
  • Demonstrable success in the development and successful execution of sales against a target
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage a negotiation of complex software & services deals
  • Exceptional communication skills including comfort presenting at C-level and the ability to lead the development of marketing collateral and bid content
  • An interest and understanding in the technical principles behind the product to be able to clearly communicate the offering to potential clients Applications are only invited from candidates with the right to reside and work within the United Kingdom

 

The successful candidate will ideally be based in or near London, but applications from within the UK will be considered, where the candidate is able to travel to London as required on a semi-regular basis.
